Alice Springs • Halls Creek • Bullo River Station • Darwin

Day 1:
Arrive in Alice Springs and this afternoon, visit Aruluen Centre, containing a collection of modern Aboriginal art.

Day 2:
Meet the traditional Arrernte owners of Mparntwe (Alice Springs) at the Aboriginal Art & Cultural Centre. Spend the day visiting local artists in the Alice Springs region.

Day 3:
Depart by private plane to Yuendumu and the Warlukurlangu Art Centre, representing some 160 Warlpiri and Anmatjerre artists. Continue to Balgo Hills, a remote Aboriginal community on the edge of the vast Kimberley region of Western Australia, and Halls Creek.

Day 4:
This morning head for another Aboriginal community to visit the Warmun Art Centre at Turkey Creek. Then, depart for Bullo River Station, flying over the famous Bungle Bungles. Relax and enjoy a day and an evening with the owners on this famous Outback cattle station.

Day 5:
Fly to Darwin where the afternoon is spent exploring galleries and museums.

Day 6:
Visit additional galleries or explore some of the other sights in this culturally diverse city, before transferring to the airport for your onward flight.

Lord Howe Island Extension

Escape to Australia's "last paradise" - the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lord Howe Island.

Day 1: Sydney/Lord Howe Island
Fly to Lord Howe Island from Sydney. Spend the afternoon exploring the clear waters of a World Heritage protected lagoon, with its amazing array of marine life. Wander over to Lover's Bay from Capella Lodge to snorkel the reef, or if you're feeling energetic, grab a mountain bike and ride through palm forests to famous Ned's Beach where you can meet and hand feed the giant kingfish.

Day 2: Lord Howe Island
The unique opportunities available to you in this pristine environment are abundant. The renowned Capella Spa offers the perfect sanctuary for a day of pampering, and the nine-hole Lord Howe Island golf course offers golfers the stunning backdrop of the South Pacific.

Day 3: Lord Howe Island/Sydney/Depart
After one more relaxing morning at your island paradise, board your short return flight to Sydney.

Western Australia

The Margaret River region is known for its world-class wineries and rugged Indian Ocean coastline.

Day 1: Arrive Perth
Transfer to your hotel on arrival. Explore some of the historic buildings this afternoon with your guide including the Round House, Western Australia's oldest public building, used as a jail and a signal house.

Day 2: Perth/Margaret River
After breakfast depart for a scenic drive to the Margaret River region. Pass beautiful sandy beaches as you travel through Fremantle and on to Busselton, situated on the sweeping shores of Geographe Bay. The remainder of the afternoon is free to enjoy Cape Lodge and its stunning surroundings.

Day 3: Margaret River
A full day of sightseeing Margaret River's picturesque wine region. Travel in style in a 1950s luxury vehicle. Your guide is a local wine expert and knows all the best vineyards for every taste. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit more vineyards and lovely art galleries before returning to Cape Lodge.

Day 4: Depart Margaret River
Transfer to the Perth airport and board your onward flight.

Tasmania Extension

Separated from mainland Australia, much of this once-forgotten island state is a World Heritage site.

Day 1: Arrive Hobart
Arrive in Hobart and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon's sightseeing with your guide includes a visit to Battery Point, Australia's most complete colonial village.

Day 2: Hobart/Freycinet National Park
After breakfast, depart for your journey along Tasmania's delightful East Coast through the gateway to beautiful Freycinet National Park. Board your vessel in Coles Bay to be transported down Freycinet's striking red granite coastline. The remainder of the day is yours to get active with a walk, swim, snorkel or kayak.

Day 3: Freycinet National Park
Spend a full day at leisure in the National Park. Take a dip in Freycinet's crystal clear waters, walk and explore the shoreline, kayak, snorkel, catch a fish, or simply soak in this idyllic setting.

Day 4: Freycinet/Launceston
Following a leisurely breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward flight.

Weather permitting, take a helicopter to the world-famous Milford Sound for an unforgettable flightseeing excursion, landing at Key Summit and Lake Quill. The remainder of your afternoon is at leisure.

Day 10: Queenstown
Choose from a range of optional activities: skim the Shotover River by jet-boat; play a round of golf at Millbrook Resort; enjoy a private tour of an artisan's village and local wineries; or spend the day relaxing at your luxurious hotel.

Day 11: Queenstown/Christchurch
Fly from Queenstown to Christchurch, the town that's "more English than England." See Cathedral Square, the Christchurch Art Centre, Christ's College and enjoy a punt along the River Avon.

Day 7: Ayers Rock/Cairns/Daintree Rainforest
An early start this morning as you drive out to watch the sunrise wash over Ayers Rock. Then it's on to Cairns by air, followed by a drive along the scenic coastal highway to Mossman Gorge, deep in the Daintree Rainforest.

Day 8: Daintree Rainforest
Your day is at leisure to enjoy the many optional activities offered at the lodge, such as mountain biking, canoeing and guided rainforest walks.

Day 9: Daintree Rainforest/Cairns/Lizard Island
Drive back to Cairns or take an optional helicopter transfer over the rainforest. Then fly by private charter to Lizard Island, Australia's most exclusive Great Barrier Reef resort.

Days 10-11: Lizard Island
Two full days on Lizard Island to relax and choose from the many optional activities available. Alternatively, pamper yourself with a full range of spa treatments or just relax under a palm tree.

Visit the historically profound Waitangi Treaty House and view a copy of the treaty that united the lives of European and Maori people in 1840. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore the stunning surroundings.

Day 2: Bay of Islands
Spend the day exploring the area. Perhaps try deep-sea fishing, or join a dolphin-watching cruise to get up close and personal with these marvelous creatures. Kauri Cliffs also boasts one of the most spectacular golf courses in the world. Visits to local attractions including Ninety Mile Beach, Tane Mahuta (New Zealand's largest kauri tree), Doubtless Bay, the Puketi Kauri Forest, Rainbow Falls and historic Russell.
